Georgette’s Story

In autumn of 2020, after her career as a New York City-based travel writer came to a halt in the pandemic, Georgette conceived of a unique concept — a Paris salon experience in her Midtown East brownstone for quarantining couples and friend groups.

Surrounded by books and candlelight, at her Belle Époque-era bar she taught cocktail-making from the pages of her best-selling drinks memoir, Regarding Cocktails.

Offering ticketed guests two experiences in one, Georgette partnered with her friend, Oyster Farmer Meg Dowe, to harvest Long Island oysters for her salon guests to learn how to shuck.

The salon garnered considerable press and had a successful four-year run, hosting couples, reuniting friends and families, and celebrating special events.

In October 2024, Georgette made her dream of living in Paris come true, moving her salon to the city that inspired it. Nestled in 11th arrondissement, Georgette created her new home as a romantic ode to the salons of the Belle Époque.

A Most Distinctive Experience

En plein air or in the salon, any day of the week, you may choose your own oyster adventure in Paris — an afternoon picnic along the banks of the Seine or an intimate evening of cocktails and canapés inside Georgette’s Paris home.
